PLUS looks to local government, Children in Need and major trust funds for its core funding and aims to increase corporate donations. Please see the Fundraising page of this website for examples of recent fundraising activities.
Supporting The Board
Members influence the development of PLUS, as they elect the Board of Directors and are eligible to stand for election. Directors all give their time as volunteers. The Board often requires specialist advice in areas such as finance and personnel and would be pleased to hear from people who could offer some expertise from time to time.
The board are currently looking for new members with some specific skills and experience. For example, are you part of the business community? Do you have media and marketing experience? Are you skilled at fundraising and income generation? This list is not exhaustive. If you would like to know more about how your skills could benefit PLUS, please get in touch for further information.
PLUS is pleased to consider applications from volunteer drivers, playworkers and youth workers or administrative support. There are many roles available at PLUS – volunteering, becoming a trustee, or taking on an advisory role with the board. If you would like to know more about how your skills could benefit PLUS, please get in touch for further information, or have a look at our vacancies page.
